The latest trend seems to be brides leaning away from the traditional white wedding dress, and opting for a more colorful and less cliche look. Now it’s not like no one here has worn a color wedding dress before. But the current shift to more color here could be attributed to common wedding practices around the globe. In Africa, brides wear tribal colors; In Morocco, it’s yellow; Japanese and Chinese brides wear red; black in Spain, and even lime green in Korea! The crimson dress shown above is by Maggie Sottero.

Sofia Coppola & Andrew Durham’s Top 11 of 2007 is a quick and to the point list of the best in art, film, music, and more. This is for those drooling for more than the typically dry predictable ‘best of’ lists that pop-up around this time of year. Thank you.
Posted by V Magazine, two 0f my (and maybe your) favorites made this particular list: David Lynch’s first feature film in five years, Inland Empire - and of course, the iPhone (not failing to soak up as much press coverage as possible). Another great pick from this list is The Dan Flavin retrospective; minimalism at it’s fluorescent best. Enjoy the rest of the list here.

Cool new cupcake shirts by Johnny Cupcakes. Wait, what? huh? How in the hell did this start? It actually started as a joke by John Earle a.k.a Johnny Cupcakes (interview) in 2001. Well, his stuff was so hot, Urban Outfitters decided to rip it off!
Anyway, his stuff is still prime, UO’s needs work. Most of the shirts are limited editions and will run you around $35.99 - belts, necklaces and other stuff is also for sale.
